Meet the people behind the site

Jasmine Linabary is a PhD student in the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University. Her research interests involve exploring the intersections between media, technology, and feminist theory. Her background is in journalism, having worked as a reporter and as the managing editor of several weekly newspapers.

Joy Bacon currently lives in Baltimore, Md., and teaches at a low-income high school. She studied English and journalism at Whitworth University, where she served as editor-in-chief of The Whitworthian as well as a contributing editor for Script literary magazine. She has worked in several freelance capacities and is passionate about promoting gender equity both domestically and abroad.
